16/07/08 - Mother's club donates £1,000 to groups

TEN worthy causes each received £100 at a presentation evening in the Methodist Schoolroom Alford, as a result of our successful year of fundraising for Alford Mother's Club.
This year's events included a table top sale in the Manor House grounds and a fashion show.
Representatives from each of the following groups collected a cheque and gave a brief account of how the money would be spent: Alford Day Centre, Alford Disability Lincs Group, Alford First Responders, Alford Silver Band, Alford Youth Centre, The MS Society Alford area, Marie Curie Cancer Fund, Macmillan Nursing Fund, the Notts/Lincs Air Ambucopter, and Mablethorpe RNLI.
Mother's Club members and guests then enjoyed a buffet supper prepared by the committee.
