Saturday - THE Olympics will arrive in Skegness next week with two days of fun filled sports organised by Skegness Sports Forum and East Lindsey District Council.

Activities on offer include judo, bowls, hockey, netball, kwik cricket, football, tri-golf, tennis, volleyball, fencing, table tennis, rugby, kayaking and dinghy sailing.

All activities are free of charge and will take place on June 27 and June 28 at three sites – Wainfleet Road Playing Field, Skegness Grammar School and the Embassy Swimming Pool.

Coun Adam Grist said: "This is an excellent opportunity for budding Olympians of the future to try a series of sports that they're not necessarily familiar with.

"We hope that following events of this kind people will find a sport or activity that they enjoy and go on to join a club or local sporting organisation."

All events are open to those aged six years and over.
