Saturday - ON Golden Pond will be brought back to the stage by Louth Playgoers from Monday at the Riverhead Theatre, Louth.
The story of a family tested by newcomers who enter its tight-knit circle was made famous on the big screen by Katharine Hepburn and Henry and Jane Fonda, but the story was orginally written for the stage.

It is a touching tale about Ethel and Norman Thayer whose quiet lives are disrupted when their middle-aged daughter brings her new man and his son to stay with them in their lakeside cabin for the summer.

Di Flower will direct the performance for the playgoers, and she will be accomapnied by Audrey Roberts as Ethel and Jim Walpole as Norman.

The daughter will be played by Pip Malloy, along with Simon Kettle as her old flame and Mark Hurst as the new love of her life.

Morgan Vickers will make his debut with the plagoers as Billy the teenage son. Morgan has been a keen member of Paintbox, the children's theatre group.

Performances will take place at 7.30pm from Monday, October 13 -18.

* Box office, tel 01507 600350, Monday-Saturday from 10am-1pm.
