EDITOR - I can only comment on the outpatient side of Skegness Hospital but I have given a blood sample twice now for my diabetes check and have found the nurses to be expert.
Where I used to go in Ewell, Surrey, they often flapped and panicked saying they could not find a vein which made me feel terrible.
They sometimes caused swelling of the arm and bruising. In Skegness the nurses are calm and efficient taking the sample with minimum fuss or pain. There is also no waiting involved. Very impressive.
I have written to the sister so she gets the feedback.
