EDITOR - Regarding the Toynton St Peter speed limit campaign, with respect the choice of photograph did not reflect the severity of our campaign.
I did point out when interviewed that the farm vehicles and their drivers were sympathetic to village life and not a problem.
The problem vehicles are not always local. If you were to meet a 10 or 12 wheel, or even bigger vehicle, you have a problem at 10mph, nevermind 40.
The Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership report gives numbers of vehicles and does not reflect their size.
There was no reference to percentage of vehicles over 40mph which were in the report also.
GEOFF LEES
Parish chairman
Toynton St Peter
