EDITOR - John Byford's cheap jibe about the recent twinning visit to Bad Gandersheim misses the point.
As a former member of the Skegness Twinning Association, he should know that the association exists 'to promote friendship and understanding between Skegness and the people of Bad Gandersheim'.
This objective is best achieved by close contact between citizens of the two towns, particularly in their own homes.
This helps us to understand what makes each other tick.
We hope that more of the people of Skegness will join us next year to welcome to German visitors to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the twinning agreement.
I am sure they will find it a mind-broadening experience.
BRIAN CHAPMAN
Chairman
Skegness Twinning Association
