Editor – I didn't go to the X-Fest nor did I see it, but goodness me, it isn't often this town gets something a little different happening in it.
We are a community, we cater for the tourists all the time, the whole town is centered around them.
We need them for our livings, but people do need to see the broader picture.
There are plenty of kids and young adults in this area who need a little something different every once in a while, something to really look forward to.
These people who groan and moan about such things should really take stock and not be so selfish in their own views. Is a few days' noise really worth moaning about?
I can remember when I was small, the church bells being once a week at around 6pm-ish. This disrupted bedtime for us kids every week, but no one kicked up a fuss.
Perhaps the people who complained should find other things to occupy their minds with.
