Monday, 4.43pm - DAREDEVIL IT specialist Paul Gray, of Skegness, will have a go at the world's highest bungee jump next month in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Mr Gray, 34, will leap off the 233 metre high (733ft) Macau Tower in southern China on November 3. The jump will see him reaching speeds of 120mph, faster than Alton Towers' newest rollercoaster Rita Queen of Speed.
He said: "I've always been one for doing something crazy. It's been 15 years since my last bungee jump and I fancied doing the biggest one.
"I'm really looking forward to doing it but it's one of those things where you don't know how it will be until you get there."
Mr Gray, who works at Butlins, will freefall for four-five seconds during the jump.To get an idea of just how high the tower is, it is almost three times the height of the Boston Stump.
But Mr Gray is no stranger to adventure having done treks of the Great Wall of China in 2006 and the Inca Trail this year. He has also scaled the Humber Bridge and climbed the Macau Tower, as well as many other 'scary' antics.
He has raised an impressive £6,500 for Marie Curie Cancer Care to date, and hopes to raise around £1,500 by through this jump. He is paying for it so all proceeds will be for charity.
So, what's next for the adrenaline-junkie?
"I haven't got anything in particular in mind at the moment because people must be sick of me asking for money, but I would love to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. I'm not one for sitting on a beach!" said Mr Gray.
