Monday, 11.47am - A GROUP of caravans have appeared on land in the lay-by near Southview Leisure Park, in Burgh Road, Skegness.

Some caravans were spotted on Friday and the group appears to have grown over the weekend.

Lincolnshire County Counil's area highways manager Andy Ratcliffe said: "We are aware of the arrival of the travellers outside Southview Leisure in Burgh Road, Skegness.

"An officer will be visiting the encampment on Tuesday to talk to the travellers and potentially start the county council illegal traveller encampment process if necessary."
