A MEET and greet open day was held at Partney Church of England Primary School to welcome the school's new headteacher Caron Ementon.
Parents, carers, relatives, governors and the local community were invited to the school to meet Mrs Ementon and children were on hand to give tours of the new look school.
Mrs Ementon said: "It was a brilliant day and a lot of people from the village came. It was really lovely.
"Past pupils were amazed with the changes to the school and everyone loved the Bill and Ben mural."
During the summer, a library area was created and the staff room was moved.
Pupils at the school helped prepare for the open day by planting bulbs and other plants in pots, while also making cakes and selling tea on the day. A total of £112 was raised through the day which will be used to buy more bulbs for the school grounds.
A family service was conducted by the Rev Richard Benson in St Nicholas' Church.
