MORE than £10,000 was raised for Eresby Special School through a midsummer ball at Southview Park Hotel, Skegness, last Friday.
An auction was held, with prizes including experience vouchers to drive an Audi R8 for the day, winning a plumber or a builder for the day, and £250 of vouchers for MKM Buildings on offer.

Organiser Sarah Abbott, of Skegness, said: "The school can use the funding for whatever they feel will benefit the children directly and help them. So many prizes were donated and everyone got into the spirit and wanted to help."

Head teacher at Eresby Special School Jackie McPherson said the funding would be used to support the school's mini bus and to keep it running. She added: "All the funding will go towards extra things the youngsters do including theatre trips, group outings and school residential weeks."
