THERE was lots of excitement at Great Steeping Primary School's sports day.
Pupils pitted their physical skills against each other in a range of fun races such as the hurdles, hoop-la, and the sack race.

The children picked up individual points for their teams and at the end of the day the yellow team walked away with the prestigious merit trophy with an impressive total of 2,498 points collected over the year.

After the sports were finished the school held its annual presentations ceremony and hundreds of trophies were handed out to pupils for their good progress, effort and achievement.

The tea and coffee stall raised £97 for school funds through donations.
