MEDICAL services and wartime memories were displayed in two books launched by Spilsby and District History Society at the Franklin Hall, Spilsby.
Spilsby Medical Men was compiled and edited by Joyce Motley, Wendy Smith and local doctors.
It provides an insight into the town's localised medical services from 1765 to the present day.
At a cost of £8 the book includes historic photographs and narrative contributions from doctors, nurses and patients.
Mayor Coun Jim Swanson made a £400 donation from his community grant allowance donation to support the book.
A £2,000 grant is given to East Lindsey district councillors to use towards projects in their wards.
Ration Books and Rabbit Pie, edited by Linda Crust, was also launched.
Published by the Society for Lincolnshire History and Archaeology it is priced at £8.50.
It is a compilation of wartime memories and gives a rich picture of daily rural life in Lincolnshire during wartime.
