VOTERS in Spilsby have elected Coun Julia Pears to Spilsby Town Council.
Voting took place yesterday, Thursday, when just 15 per cent of the electorate turned out. Coun Pears polled 211 votes against 146 for the only other candidate Anthony Clarke.
Coun Pears is a Conservative councillor and also serves on Lincolnshire County Council and East Lindsey District Council.
The vacancy at the town council came after former Coun Michael Clarke failed to attend enough meetings to remain a councillor.
